My Current Fears as a Mother

Sometimes we aren't SUPER... Don't get me wrong, we are pretty amazing, but when I was young I was afraid of spiders, my parents embarrassing me or that the cafeteria was going to be serving those awful cold flour tortillas! But things have totally changed now that I'm a mother! Here are the list of my current fears as a mother....

  1. Scraping your knuckles against the wall while caring your laundry basket
  2. Your grocery bag tearing cus the cute bagger put to many cans in one bag
  3. Splitting your lip when your toddler runs in for a hug/kiss
  4. Falling into the tub because your legs are asleep after taking baby a bath
  5. Burning the rice!
  6. Stubbing your toes or stepping on Legos
Hope that made you giggle! Funny how priorities are different now than they were before we had kids. And yeah, I really dread rubbing my knuckles along the wall cus our laundry room is quite narrow. And it actually happened and that’s what inspired my post! And it was just one knuckle and it hurt for a few days. Just imagine washing dishes in hot water with raw skin exposes! OUCH!
But there’s nothing more satisfying for me to be home with my girls and watch them grow, right in front of my eyes, into their own person! I would gladly share all of my “battle wounds” with anyone that would want to see (except that c-section scar)!

Hickies: Back-to-School Series #1

Every Friday in the month of September I will share a few tips for making the transition for both kids and parents a bit easier. This first one is a doozie! HICKIES! Keep reading to learn what I'm talking about.... I try to buy my girls (i have 3 school-aged daughters) two or more pairs of shoes; an active shoe, which usually has laces, and a more casual/formal shoe, which usually doesn't have laces. Which ones do they choose to wear nearly every day to school? The ones that have shoe laces! Of course my oldes daughter, who's now 13, can tie her own shoes, but the other two still need help. And let's be real, even the oldest one I find myself nagging her to tie her laces correctly, she gets sloppy in the mornings at times. Here come HICKIES to save the day!

Hate tying your kids' shoes everyday before they step out of the house? Hate stopping to tie your own shoes mid-run? HICKIES products turn any pair of sneakers into convenient, comfortable, and stylish slip-on…
