Menu Plan Monday - Fall is here!

How is the weather where you are? The weather here in South Texas is amazing! I love fall and can't wait to cook with more calabaza (squash). My favorite dish is Pollo con Calabaza! Check out my Youtube Channel where I joined with a few other #YTMM vloggers to share their fav fall meals. And it's also a time to share meals, we love going over to grandmas house for dinner or having them over and speaking of sharing meals I was talking to my facebook friends today about menu planning. Telling them how much I love it! I have used different methods the past few years but I have been doing it for about eight years now, maybe even longer. Menu planning along with couponing and stockpiling we do not spend that much on groceries each week and my friends were kind of shocked to hear that I only spend about $50/week on groceries. I LOVE IT. If you aren't subscribed to my blog, you should because I'm going to share a few of my tips in the weeks to come, which is perfect with the holidays just around the corner! Here is this weeks menu (and shopping list)!

Monday: Fish Tacos

Tuesday: Crockpot Chicken Chili

Wednesday: Tuna Sandwiches

Thursday: Spaghetti and Homemade Pizza Rolls

Friday: Eating Out

Shopping List: Cabbage, Bread and wonton wraps! Yup, that's it! Thanks to my mom who brought home some limes and onions that she got from a co-worker I was able to cross those off of our list!

Excited to make those pizza rolls this week, first time making them. If you want the recipe I pinned in on my "Recipes to Try" board!

If you want more menu plan ideas head on over to! She hosts Menu Plan Monday and lots of new, old, young and old bloggers post their weekly menu on there and it's amazing to see what you can find and sometimes get inspired to make yourself. Go check it out.

Hickies: Back-to-School Series #1

Every Friday in the month of September I will share a few tips for making the transition for both kids and parents a bit easier. This first one is a doozie! HICKIES! Keep reading to learn what I'm talking about.... I try to buy my girls (i have 3 school-aged daughters) two or more pairs of shoes; an active shoe, which usually has laces, and a more casual/formal shoe, which usually doesn't have laces. Which ones do they choose to wear nearly every day to school? The ones that have shoe laces! Of course my oldes daughter, who's now 13, can tie her own shoes, but the other two still need help. And let's be real, even the oldest one I find myself nagging her to tie her laces correctly, she gets sloppy in the mornings at times. Here come HICKIES to save the day!

Hate tying your kids' shoes everyday before they step out of the house? Hate stopping to tie your own shoes mid-run? HICKIES products turn any pair of sneakers into convenient, comfortable, and stylish slip-on…
