Plain and Simple #MPM

Why do we need to stress out over design, graphics and pretty things, lol. Today is Menu Plan Monday and it's almost midnight, so I'm just going to keep it plain and simple today, just like this weeks menu. Do I have any disagreements? Awesome!

So, I'm sure a lot of ya'll want to stay organized in 2015, well, let me tell ya, I do to, but I started in 2014, towards the end. Well, more like the middle. After school started Target had a bunch of thins on clearance, ya'll know I love a good deal! Especially when it's on something I'm looking to buy. So I went in looking for a calendar/planner. I found a five star planner with a great layout, I got to do a vlog about it someday. It has been working awesome. I also wanted to start jotting down what I was eating through-out the day, and that's the only place where I still struggle. Oh well, right! So that is what I do on Sunday evenings, sit down with my planner and write down the menu for the week.... here it is:

Breakfast: Oatmeal, cereal and fruit (plain and simple)

Lunch: Leftovers, salad and soup (plain and simple)

Dinners:
Zuppa Toscana
Chalupas
Chicken Spaghetti
Albondigas
Chicken Stir-Fry

PLAIN AND SIMPLE!

Well, Doesn't sound that plain and simple, but it is. Last week we went to the farmers market and I got kale, bell pepper, celery, cilantro and we already have our protein, everything else I have on hand (lettuce, tomato, cheese, sour cream, cream of mushroom, spaghetti, tuna and fzn veggies). I don't even have to go to the store this week!

Yes! I'm done! HAPPY MONDAY!

Hickies: Back-to-School Series #1

Every Friday in the month of September I will share a few tips for making the transition for both kids and parents a bit easier. This first one is a doozie! HICKIES! Keep reading to learn what I'm talking about.... I try to buy my girls (i have 3 school-aged daughters) two or more pairs of shoes; an active shoe, which usually has laces, and a more casual/formal shoe, which usually doesn't have laces. Which ones do they choose to wear nearly every day to school? The ones that have shoe laces! Of course my oldes daughter, who's now 13, can tie her own shoes, but the other two still need help. And let's be real, even the oldest one I find myself nagging her to tie her laces correctly, she gets sloppy in the mornings at times. Here come HICKIES to save the day!

Hate tying your kids' shoes everyday before they step out of the house? Hate stopping to tie your own shoes mid-run? HICKIES products turn any pair of sneakers into convenient, comfortable, and stylish slip-on…
