Aztecs & Edemame!

Yvette asked me the other day why I was wearing the same lipstick the other day when I picked her up from school. She's been asking a lot of big girl questions, heck, they were teenage questions. She turned 10 in August. So we had a good talk as we drove home.

I thought I'd share a list of my favorites with ya'll..... FALL FAVORITES!

    http://www.copythatcopycatnails.net/2012/10/my-blonde-hair-aztectribal-nails.html
  • Socks! Yes, socks. I am loving socks this fall because it feels like it's a lot colder in south Texas this year.
  • Aztec! I don't know why but I am loving everything with aztec designs latley. I did some nail art (maroon and gold) and showed it on Instagram. I bought a tee and some pants this month that have an aztec design. Don't you just love this nail art from Copythat?! --->
  • Dry Shampoo! I don't use it that often but, when I'm in a rush I reach for it instantly. I have been using the Tresseme brand. I used the Suave for a while, but I didn't like it, it left too much "grey" YUCK!
  • Edemame! I could eat that stuff all day. Have you ever tried it? It's yummy and a great dish with steak and potatoes or stir-fry and rice. We buy ours from Costco, super affordable!

So, those are my favorites for the past few months. What have your favorites been? I'll be uploading a video on you Youtube channel with my favorite make-up items for last month as well. Be sure to subscribe so you can see when it goes live!

I'm linking up with Mama Kat, head on over to see what everyone else has to say this week on Writer's Workshop! And yes, I know I'm a week behind, but I've had this on draft more for the pat two weeks! So, deal with it!!

Hickies: Back-to-School Series #1

Every Friday in the month of September I will share a few tips for making the transition for both kids and parents a bit easier. This first one is a doozie! HICKIES! Keep reading to learn what I'm talking about.... I try to buy my girls (i have 3 school-aged daughters) two or more pairs of shoes; an active shoe, which usually has laces, and a more casual/formal shoe, which usually doesn't have laces. Which ones do they choose to wear nearly every day to school? The ones that have shoe laces! Of course my oldes daughter, who's now 13, can tie her own shoes, but the other two still need help. And let's be real, even the oldest one I find myself nagging her to tie her laces correctly, she gets sloppy in the mornings at times. Here come HICKIES to save the day!

Hate tying your kids' shoes everyday before they step out of the house? Hate stopping to tie your own shoes mid-run? HICKIES products turn any pair of sneakers into convenient, comfortable, and stylish slip-on…
