The sickness + GMO OMG!

Ahhhh!!!! I truley dislike being sick. So first, Eliada got a cough, really bad, then she threw up a few days in a row (at night) then Annaleah started throwing up then mama had to go potty like every few minutes and coughing, so it turns out we have a bacterial infection, the same one. I blame it on all the eating out the weekend my sister came into town, lol. It might be parasitic, but haven't gotten our test results back.... on the phone with them now and on HOLD! ugh

So, I haven't been feeling well. There was also a day where I was nauseous and dizzy, that was not fun. No blogging has been done, nor vlogging. I did do an update on my fitness collab, which I'm in charge of, so yeah. I guess on the plus size, I have not gained any weight, I actually lost a little bit. I'll be uploading another video this weekend, so be sure to subscribe if you haven't already.

This week has been full of soups and salads for me. I also did a bit of researched and found a papaya smoothie I could mixup to help if it was parasites, found no harm in it if I didn't have them. We went off to HEB and bought all the ingredients, just papaya, pineapple, pumpkinseeds and some live culture yogurt. I also added some kale, blueberries and strawberries for a bit more sweetness, oh and some ice! It was delicious! After trying to chug it down I followed it with a tbls of coconut oil. I have a pic on my instagram!

I've had that smoothie for two days and going to do it again tomorrow morning. It sure does fill you up! I have some leftover papaya for the girls and just might freeze the rest of them. (we are also taking the antibiotics the doctor prescribed)

I hope ya'll have a great weekend and are doing better than us! We do have some plans for the weekend.... the Fooducation Movie Series and the People's Climate March!! Wooohooo! So excited to see the movie and join in the march!

Hickies: Back-to-School Series #1

Every Friday in the month of September I will share a few tips for making the transition for both kids and parents a bit easier. This first one is a doozie! HICKIES! Keep reading to learn what I'm talking about.... I try to buy my girls (i have 3 school-aged daughters) two or more pairs of shoes; an active shoe, which usually has laces, and a more casual/formal shoe, which usually doesn't have laces. Which ones do they choose to wear nearly every day to school? The ones that have shoe laces! Of course my oldes daughter, who's now 13, can tie her own shoes, but the other two still need help. And let's be real, even the oldest one I find myself nagging her to tie her laces correctly, she gets sloppy in the mornings at times. Here come HICKIES to save the day!

Hate tying your kids' shoes everyday before they step out of the house? Hate stopping to tie your own shoes mid-run? HICKIES products turn any pair of sneakers into convenient, comfortable, and stylish slip-on…
