Day 1: Mi Vida

Day 1, Wednesday: The story of your life in 250 words or less (or one paragraph... no one will be counting your words... probably)

250 Words? How much is that? Isn't it just a paragraph. Well, lets see if I can do this, pretty sure I can. Ahhh! I'm taking up words!

Okay, I was born on Jan. 29th, 1984 to my mom and dad at around 2am, I think. We were living with my grandparents at the time so my parents could save up to buy their own house. Two years later I became a big sister and we also got our new house! The whole family, my dad has 7 brothers and sisters built it! I had a great childhood and spent lots of quality time with the fam. I started school and never really had any girl friends. I got my first crush in pre-k and a guy didn't crush on me until I was in 2nd grade. He gave me a ring! I turned him down. I became a woman and thought I knew everything by 5th grade. In middle school finally had some girls I could call friends. We would walk to my friends house and play video games. I was in choir every year and loved it. I got my letterman in highschool for being in the Varsity Choir and we sang at many football games and events. I didn't get my first official boyfriend till my senior year although I had dated a few guys before then. The following summer we broke up, found out he way gay and married my next serious boyfriend. We now have three beautiful daughters and live with my mom after my father past away from Cancer in 2005. I’m now a SAHM in love with my husband! THE END!

GUESS HOW MANY WORDS THAT IS!!! 250!!! I was actually under and then I added the "i love my husband!" part! Shhhh, don't tell my husband!

Well, it's 2am, almost 3 and I already FAILED the Blog everyday challenge... but I'm not a quitter, most of the time, so, lets keep it going shall we! lol

ps. "Mi Vida" (blog title) means "My Life" in Spanish

  1. Love it! I think my post goes up tomorrow. I am planning on posting between my weekly regular posts. And I'm gonna do a few topics per post. Just the ones that jump out at me most. =)

Hickies: Back-to-School Series #1

Every Friday in the month of September I will share a few tips for making the transition for both kids and parents a bit easier. This first one is a doozie! HICKIES! Keep reading to learn what I'm talking about.... I try to buy my girls (i have 3 school-aged daughters) two or more pairs of shoes; an active shoe, which usually has laces, and a more casual/formal shoe, which usually doesn't have laces. Which ones do they choose to wear nearly every day to school? The ones that have shoe laces! Of course my oldes daughter, who's now 13, can tie her own shoes, but the other two still need help. And let's be real, even the oldest one I find myself nagging her to tie her laces correctly, she gets sloppy in the mornings at times. Here come HICKIES to save the day!

Hate tying your kids' shoes everyday before they step out of the house? Hate stopping to tie your own shoes mid-run? HICKIES products turn any pair of sneakers into convenient, comfortable, and stylish slip-on…
