Life Update *Welcome 2014*

This mama is STRESSED! That time after the holidays and how long it takes to recover, ugh, it's horrible. Plus not to mention a teething baby....

So, school has finally started again so things are getting back to normal. But the girls had a great time! We traveled to Corpus to visit family for Thanksgiving and had lunch with family and then got a surprise visit from grandma, my husbands mom. The girls loved that. So after stuffing our faces we relaxed the rest of the time.
Who did shopping? My hubby and uncle went out to Walmart and got a 50" TV! That was interesting, lol. But I stayed home with the girls.

Christmas time came and the girls and I attended some of our church's posadas, I vlogged one where Yvette was The Virgin Mary. It's a three-parter! I haven't vlogged much either, taking a break was great. We spent Christmas at Grandmas and got to see one of my little cousins for the first time, that was exciting. I hope ya'll had a great time with your family. Head on over and follow me via Instagram to see some of our holiday pics.

New Years was also eventful! Spent it visiting my grandparents, the girls great-grandparents and then came home and played board games. The girls wanted to stay up and we saw Time Square hit midnight and then sat at the window looking at the fireworks in our neighborhood, it was pretty awesome. The girls were out by 12:05! lol

So Yvette, our oldest has grown so big, and starting to ask when she can go over to her friends house and, sorry for being candid, but might have to start wearing a training bra soon! She'll be 10 in August!

Eliada still has a few phonological processes to reach but is going to have the schools speech therapist evaluate her, it's taken a long time. Hopefully by the new school year she'll be able to get some help in school. She to also wants to go to her friends house and her speech has improved so much and such a silly girl.

Annaleah, will be 1 1/2 next month! And is so chatty! She loves taking her daily bath with daddy, not together, but he takes her a bath most nights, lol. And daddy still puts her to bed. I've tried to get him to put her to bed earlier, but she still doesn't go to bed till around 2am and wakes up around noon. Unlike the girls, she loves her protein and carbs, it's crazy.

Daddy has one more semester of school left, thank goodness and got all A's last semster, I'm so proud of him. Now only if he would cut the lawn, lol.

Mommy is started to get moving again. After my fall last year, my knee is feeling better and going to FINISH that darn c25k this year! I'm also been working on being a better housewife and I'm pretty proud of myself, I've downloaded The Fly Lady app and been doing a good job keeping up with the daily missions.

Okay, well, it's 11am and time to make lunch before Eliada goes to school! #HAPPYNEWYEAR!

Hickies: Back-to-School Series #1

Every Friday in the month of September I will share a few tips for making the transition for both kids and parents a bit easier. This first one is a doozie! HICKIES! Keep reading to learn what I'm talking about.... I try to buy my girls (i have 3 school-aged daughters) two or more pairs of shoes; an active shoe, which usually has laces, and a more casual/formal shoe, which usually doesn't have laces. Which ones do they choose to wear nearly every day to school? The ones that have shoe laces! Of course my oldes daughter, who's now 13, can tie her own shoes, but the other two still need help. And let's be real, even the oldest one I find myself nagging her to tie her laces correctly, she gets sloppy in the mornings at times. Here come HICKIES to save the day!

Hate tying your kids' shoes everyday before they step out of the house? Hate stopping to tie your own shoes mid-run? HICKIES products turn any pair of sneakers into convenient, comfortable, and stylish slip-on…
