#VEDA is over, Hello September

Hey ya'll.... do you follow my YouTube channel? Yesterday was the last day of VEDA. What is VEDA? It's an acronym for "Vlogging EveryDay in August." And I did it. That was one reason why I haven't been on the blog much lately. Let's get back on track!

The Mami Blog is growing and going through a new phase. With the girls starting school, or they started school I'm trying to get into a new routine. We are BENTO-ING! Check out the First Day of School post HERE. It's been going great! And it's a great success with the girls. I was finally able to get a menu and we went ahead and decided that we would let the girls choose what days they wanted to bring lunch. And that also helps me get a bit more things done.

Ohhh and being at home with just Annaleah is kinda awesome! We have so much time that we spend together, I love it! Working on a routine and I hope to share it on my Youtube channel soon and would love any advice or how ya'll handled the change. From going to two at home to one at home... it's just so much more peaceful!

So, what is coming to the blog? Bento ideas, DIY's, weight loss journey, pre-TTC and more! I would also love to see what ya'll would like to be on the blog or read about. Would ya'll like me to do updates on our family? Hubby is almost done with school and Eliada just started Pre-K, so much has changed in our home.

Thanks for reading and following along in our journey!

Hickies: Back-to-School Series #1

Every Friday in the month of September I will share a few tips for making the transition for both kids and parents a bit easier. This first one is a doozie! HICKIES! Keep reading to learn what I'm talking about.... I try to buy my girls (i have 3 school-aged daughters) two or more pairs of shoes; an active shoe, which usually has laces, and a more casual/formal shoe, which usually doesn't have laces. Which ones do they choose to wear nearly every day to school? The ones that have shoe laces! Of course my oldes daughter, who's now 13, can tie her own shoes, but the other two still need help. And let's be real, even the oldest one I find myself nagging her to tie her laces correctly, she gets sloppy in the mornings at times. Here come HICKIES to save the day!

Hate tying your kids' shoes everyday before they step out of the house? Hate stopping to tie your own shoes mid-run? HICKIES products turn any pair of sneakers into convenient, comfortable, and stylish slip-on…
