Menu Plan Monday - Where's the beef?

Last week of summer vacation!!!! So, how many of you stay-at-home moms are more excited than the kids? haha. We will now have two in elementary and one staying at home with mama! I'm kinda excited and scared to get a phone call from Eliada's teacher saying she was mean with the other kids. Ekkk! I mean, she is nice and polite and knows her manners, but sometimes when she wants something and you say no, she will say "yes." I'm so grateful that she's not a full-fledged tantrum kid, but she will get grumpy. God bless our teachers! They do so much more than they should. The girls and I made some sun-catchers for their teachers that will be in their gift baskets.

FYI, we never send gift baskets on the first day of school. We may do it mid-week or on Friday. Also, we're going to talk to to the teacher about having a party maybe a few weeks after since Yvette's birthday is during summer break. When we went for registration they did not give us anything regarding parties or home-baked goodies, but I do hope we can make something healthy for the class.

Monday: Chicken Stir-Fry with Ramen style noodles

Tuesday: Sausage Chili with white rice and Cornbread

Wednesday: Leftovers (gonna make the whole box of spaghetti)

Thursday: Breakfast for Dinner - Eggs with Chorizo, Refried Beans and Homemade Tortilla Chips n salsa

Friday: Pan-Seared Tilapia with Steamed Broccoli and Baked Potatoes

Hickies: Back-to-School Series #1

Every Friday in the month of September I will share a few tips for making the transition for both kids and parents a bit easier. This first one is a doozie! HICKIES! Keep reading to learn what I'm talking about.... I try to buy my girls (i have 3 school-aged daughters) two or more pairs of shoes; an active shoe, which usually has laces, and a more casual/formal shoe, which usually doesn't have laces. Which ones do they choose to wear nearly every day to school? The ones that have shoe laces! Of course my oldes daughter, who's now 13, can tie her own shoes, but the other two still need help. And let's be real, even the oldest one I find myself nagging her to tie her laces correctly, she gets sloppy in the mornings at times. Here come HICKIES to save the day!

Hate tying your kids' shoes everyday before they step out of the house? Hate stopping to tie your own shoes mid-run? HICKIES products turn any pair of sneakers into convenient, comfortable, and stylish slip-on…
