I'd share some newborn cloth diaper reviews this weekend! I was suppose to have the reviews up already but we went to go visit my sister and then family came to visit. Hope you enjoy them, I sure did looking back at these clips was surreal!
So thank you to Fluffy Bottoms for providing us with two Newborn Fitted Cloth Diapers in exchange for a review. All thoughts are my own and no compensation was provided for the review. You can check out Fluffy Bottoms on her facebook page or Hyenacart Store (just scroll down to "Fluffy Bottoms").
Fluffy Bottoms Newborn Fitted Diaper:
How did it fit? Annaleah as able to wear this diaper a few days after coming home from the hospital and it fit her right up to around 12 pounds. It was super stretchy and had really good elastic so it could have fit her up to 13 or 14lbs, but it would have been tight on her belly. It fit her legs great and did not leave any marks.
Does it contain poo? YES! That was one of the things that I wanted in a newborn diaper. You know that there are lots of visitors and family holding her baby and the last thing you want is a poop-spolotion while they are holding your baby. It has the elastic on the back and around the legs that really helped with that aspect. And like I mentioned above the elastic is really good in this diaper it sure did hold in all the poo.
Absorbancy? Absorbancy was not an issue with this diaper. With any diaper you need to make sure you prep it correctly and run a few wash cycles to make sure it is at it's full absorbancy stage. This diaper has a snap in liner that had several layers of fabric as well as the diaper itself to help absorb anything that the liner didn't.
How did it Wash? I just love that I am able to remove the liner. A few poo diaper it was way easier to shake out (sometimes rub out) just the liner instead of the whole diaper. We don't have a diaper sprayer I just use the shower head to rinse it out. So when it goes into the wash it gets cleaned a lot better (in my opinion) because the liner isn't permanently attached to the diaper.
Drying Time? Dry time was at around 2 hours. We dry outdoors on our clothes line in TEXAS heat!
What's the cost? The average cost of these diapers is around $15. There are several fabric options and now have the option of a hybrid fitted also.
