Sunday in my City - Birthday Bash

Happy Sunday! How do you celebrate birthdays? Well here (basically in Southern Texas) we have BBQ's! So about a month ago after church on Sunday we all headed over to my grandpas house to ask how (actually what he wanted to eat) he wanted to celebrate. Grandpas favorite are pork steaks and riblets! My uncle suggest brisket, which was a fab idea! Something different. The main menu includes fajijta, chicken and sausage, but we took out the chicken this time! We're not chickens, lol. Grandma of course made the potato salad and rice. My other uncle brought the beans. My mom got a whole bag of mangos from the farmers market and I brought strawberries and squash and zucchini to sautee. My mom, girls, aunt and I were the only ones to dig into the veggies, lol. Family from Houston was going to be in town so we doubled the food, it was barley enough. Two of my aunts had the bright idea to hire a photobooth. It was fun, but I was too slow, lol. We just chilled and ate the whole day. No birthday signing and no presents, just good food and good people. When we were young I remember my aunts and uncles would always give him walking shoes! He's a mall walker (walmart too). I was telling my aunt that they can sign up with Plink (you can to) and get points for buying at Champ and FootAction! Plus now till Aug 4th you get double points! It gets better, if you sign up you get 100 points deposited into your account! She was happy for me to share, especially with the kids needing new shoes for back to school. Got to see one of my 2nd cousins and he is just adorable! The other cousins just got taller and taller! lol It was a great day!

Happy Birthday Grandpa!
