Menu Plan Monday - Crockpot'ing

Can you believe there's only about three weeks left till kids go back to school! The summer went by so fast. Guess what! Annaleah (the baby) is going to be a year old TOMORROW! And Yvette (the oldes) is turning 9 on the 1st of August! It's cool how they were born just days apart. But I'm sure they won't like it very much when they get older. I've said before that we've already told them that only one of them gets a birthday each year. Of course, we'll celebrate it, but not a full blown party. Speaking of birthdays, my grandfather's birthday is on the 31st! Right smack in the middle of the girls. We just had a small party for him this weekend. Check out the photos we took in the photobooth on "Sunday in my City" post. On August 1st, I'm also going to be participating, or attempting VEDA (Vlogging Everyday in August)! Subscribe to my Youtube channel. I was watching some of last years VEDA and it's so cool to see Annaleah as a newborn just one year ago! OMG! It's gonna be fun!

This week... I'm pulling out the crockpot! Mot of these recipes will be done via crockpot, except Wed and Friday.

Monday - Sausage and Beans with Rice

Tuesday - Crock-pot Chicken (whole) with Green beans and Caesar Salad

Thursday - Stir-Fry with Shrimp Fried Rice

Friday - Taqueria Tacos with Charro Beans

Like me on Facebook to see pics of my recipes when I post them! If you have a recipe that you'd like me to blog about or about how it went, if I changed anything, let me know! Or if you have a recipe you'd like me to try, I'd like that as well! Most of these recipes are on my Pinterest page!

Hickies: Back-to-School Series #1

Every Friday in the month of September I will share a few tips for making the transition for both kids and parents a bit easier. This first one is a doozie! HICKIES! Keep reading to learn what I'm talking about.... I try to buy my girls (i have 3 school-aged daughters) two or more pairs of shoes; an active shoe, which usually has laces, and a more casual/formal shoe, which usually doesn't have laces. Which ones do they choose to wear nearly every day to school? The ones that have shoe laces! Of course my oldes daughter, who's now 13, can tie her own shoes, but the other two still need help. And let's be real, even the oldest one I find myself nagging her to tie her laces correctly, she gets sloppy in the mornings at times. Here come HICKIES to save the day!

Hate tying your kids' shoes everyday before they step out of the house? Hate stopping to tie your own shoes mid-run? HICKIES products turn any pair of sneakers into convenient, comfortable, and stylish slip-on…
