Day 5: Cloth Diapers

Need I say more?! Cloth Diapers is something that can help reduce the amount of waste the US produces by.... LOTS!

But putting together Earth Day and Cloth Diapers I would love if there was local retailers of the big name brands all round the US. That would be awesome, would it not! It would reduce shipping, green-house gas emissions from transportation and save us, the consumer, money!
Did you know that in the US we throw away 20 billion disposable diapers every year? That’s enough to circle the globe 90 times! Decomposition of each can take over 500 years, AND they comprise the third-largest source of household waste. Not to mention all of the trees, crude oil, chemicals and plastic used to make them. We seek to provide innovative, modern and cost-effective alternatives to these one-time-use products. Join us, and we really can change the world…one baby at a time.

Today, I wanted to share with ya'll some Cloth Diaper Deals that are mostly good this weekend and/or Earth Day only!

Hickies: Back-to-School Series #1

Every Friday in the month of September I will share a few tips for making the transition for both kids and parents a bit easier. This first one is a doozie! HICKIES! Keep reading to learn what I'm talking about.... I try to buy my girls (i have 3 school-aged daughters) two or more pairs of shoes; an active shoe, which usually has laces, and a more casual/formal shoe, which usually doesn't have laces. Which ones do they choose to wear nearly every day to school? The ones that have shoe laces! Of course my oldes daughter, who's now 13, can tie her own shoes, but the other two still need help. And let's be real, even the oldest one I find myself nagging her to tie her laces correctly, she gets sloppy in the mornings at times. Here come HICKIES to save the day!

Hate tying your kids' shoes everyday before they step out of the house? Hate stopping to tie your own shoes mid-run? HICKIES products turn any pair of sneakers into convenient, comfortable, and stylish slip-on…
