#WeekofGreen, #AskEPA Twitter Chats

Day 2: #AskEPA - Earth Month Twitter Chats

During Earth Month, April 2013, you can join EPA for environmental Twitter chats. We'll have a different environmental topic each time, with EPA experts to discuss the topic and respond to questions. You can learn more about the issues, participate in the discussion, and find out what you can do.

Schedule and topics
  • Monday, April 22nd at 2:00pm EDT: Climate Change: What You Can Do
Every day our actions affect the planet. Experts from our Office of Air and Radiation will be joining us on
Earth Day to talk about what we can all do at home, in the office, and on the road to save energy, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and help protect the planet. Let’s work together to protect our communities from the effects of climate change now and in the future.
To participate, at the starting time, sign into your Twitter account and submit a question on the topic using hashtag #AskEPA. We'll respond to as many Tweets and questions on the topic as possible. You can also submit a question in advance - read the blog post about the Twitter chats and leave a comment with your question.
If you aren't a Twitter user, you can still follow the chat online by going to when the chat begins.

THIS WEEKEND:  Join us in New York City for our Green Festival on April 20 and 21.  Can't make it?  Follow the festivities via social media this time around. Online editor Andrew Korfhage will be live-blogging the event all weekend long, and sharing news from the Green Festival via Facebook and Twitter.

NEXT WEEK: Our Climate Action director Todd Larsen points out that the 45-day State Department comment period on their endorsement of the Keystone XL Pipeline ends next Tuesday, April 22.  If you haven't sent your comments yet, please do so!

MAY 4 - 19:  Our Fair Trade director Elizabeth O'Connell encourages all Green Americans to get involved in World Fair Trade Day events, coming up in early May.  World Fair Trade Day itself is May 11, with events around the country over a two-week period. And speaking of May, if following the Green Festival online this weekend inspires you to attend one in person, we'll be taking Green Festival to Chicago the weekend of May 18 and 19.  We hope you can join us, and can spread the word to all of your friends in the Midwest too.
