It's falling Apart

Mama’s Losin’ It

My brain is fried! So I'm jumping on board with Mam Kat and her Writing Prompts today... ENJOY!

The last thing your pet destroyed

Yes! We have a pet.... our dog, Duke! He's a black lab and I think we've had him for two years already. If not, it sure has seemed like two years. This dog is such a pain! We love him to death, but he's your typical dog that barks, licks, runs and pulls clothes down from the clothes line!

The last thing he destroyed was THE FENCE! He has broken down two planks from our fence. Not the whole thing, but just enough to get his head through and sometimes his whole body! We know when he gets out of the fence because we will hear him barking in front of the house. He is VERY PROTECTIVE of the girls and I as well as our property. But, good thing Home Depot just had their "Black Friday Sale," Yes, Black Friday in April. They had the fencing on sale for  like $.59ea or something like that.

But it gets worse! Our grass is GONE! I so want to water the grass, but it's just dirt... and if I water it then the girls will get their shoes muddy. And if they get their shoes muddy, they will get the floors dirty. And if they get the floors dirty I will have to mop. And if I have to mop..... THAT WILL NEVER HAPPEN! lol Plus we'll have to buy new grass anyways cus it will take forever for it to grow back cus it's so freaking HOT here in Texas! RANT OVER!

Annaleah is asleep right now, so I'll add a photo of his damage tomorrow.

Hickies: Back-to-School Series #1

Every Friday in the month of September I will share a few tips for making the transition for both kids and parents a bit easier. This first one is a doozie! HICKIES! Keep reading to learn what I'm talking about.... I try to buy my girls (i have 3 school-aged daughters) two or more pairs of shoes; an active shoe, which usually has laces, and a more casual/formal shoe, which usually doesn't have laces. Which ones do they choose to wear nearly every day to school? The ones that have shoe laces! Of course my oldes daughter, who's now 13, can tie her own shoes, but the other two still need help. And let's be real, even the oldest one I find myself nagging her to tie her laces correctly, she gets sloppy in the mornings at times. Here come HICKIES to save the day!

Hate tying your kids' shoes everyday before they step out of the house? Hate stopping to tie your own shoes mid-run? HICKIES products turn any pair of sneakers into convenient, comfortable, and stylish slip-on…
