5 Things To-Do in the RGV *Spring Break Edition*

Now in our family Spring Break means BIRTHDAY! Eliada, our "Middle Child," will be turning 4 in mid-march! Holy moly! So yeah, ever since I was young we never really went to the beach like everyone else. It gets packed and I'd think it would be scary. BUT... after Annaleah was born we talked to the girls (well, Yvette mainly) about how we would now split up their birthdays.... each year we'd celebrate only one of their birthdays. And it is going to get tested in March, next month. I haven't started planning anything, but hubby has already mentioned it like three times, asking what we were going to do for her birthday. I said nothing... but I'm thinking he wants to have a little something. It's not like I don't want to celebrate it. Of course, we'll go take her or make her a special meal, treat her like a princess and maybe take her to the toy store. But wasting money on a party, three times a year on GIRLS! OMG! WHAT WOULD YOU DO?

Anywho... this week on Mama's Losin' It! Writing Promps. I want to share with ya'll 5 things you can do in our area. I'm sure where ever you are you can find something similar in your area. ENJOY!

Hickies: Back-to-School Series #1

Every Friday in the month of September I will share a few tips for making the transition for both kids and parents a bit easier. This first one is a doozie! HICKIES! Keep reading to learn what I'm talking about.... I try to buy my girls (i have 3 school-aged daughters) two or more pairs of shoes; an active shoe, which usually has laces, and a more casual/formal shoe, which usually doesn't have laces. Which ones do they choose to wear nearly every day to school? The ones that have shoe laces! Of course my oldes daughter, who's now 13, can tie her own shoes, but the other two still need help. And let's be real, even the oldest one I find myself nagging her to tie her laces correctly, she gets sloppy in the mornings at times. Here come HICKIES to save the day!

Hate tying your kids' shoes everyday before they step out of the house? Hate stopping to tie your own shoes mid-run? HICKIES products turn any pair of sneakers into convenient, comfortable, and stylish slip-on…
