*Hot Topic* Friday - Mom's going on Vacation -

I'm going to be testing out some new potential "Weekly" posts.... First one up.... *Hot Topic* Friday! Where I share a hot topic, give my opinion and then see what ya'll have to say about it!

~~~~~Mom's going on Vacation~~~~~
Hot Topic:
So, a hot topic we are all hearing about this week, No! Not what went on in Vegas with Prince Harry!, but about a mom who is going on vacation. Not just because she's going on vacation, but because she's also a mother who is leaving her 10 week old baby behind! If you haven't read her blog post on Mommyish you can read it HERE
Mami's Thoughts:
First off, who cares?! Second of all... think about it... 10 weeks = 2 1/2 months! Third, she's leaving him with not just one, but two caregivers. Hubby actually has a friend who's mother left him with a babysitter at 2 weeks to go on vacation! Now that is just ridiculous. I was nervous to leave my newborn with my husband while I went to the grocery store, lol. But I would be okay if she was 10 weeks. A lot of people have brought up the fact that most women go back to work when their baby is 6 weeks old. We don't hear much about that.
Would I leave on vacation with my husband with a 10 week old baby at home? HECK NO! My oldest daughter is 7 years old and we have not been away from her for more than 12 hours. Now that I think of it, that is kinda bizarre. I did go on vacation with my mom and my daughter and was away from hubby for a few days, but our daughters have always been with one or the other. If we were to go on vacation, we would take our daughters with us.
Your Thoughts:
Question: When was the first time you left your baby to go on vacation or to the spa. Where did you go? Who did you leave your baby with?
NEXT WEEK.... Also leave your comments below with what next week's Hot Topic should be!
Hickies: Back-to-School Series #1
Every Friday in the month of September I will share a few tips for making the transition for both kids and parents a bit easier. This first one is a doozie! HICKIES! Keep reading to learn what I'm talking about.... I try to buy my girls (i have 3 school-aged daughters) two or more pairs of shoes; an active shoe, which usually has laces, and a more casual/formal shoe, which usually doesn't have laces. Which ones do they choose to wear nearly every day to school? The ones that have shoe laces! Of course my oldes daughter, who's now 13, can tie her own shoes, but the other two still need help. And let's be real, even the oldest one I find myself nagging her to tie her laces correctly, she gets sloppy in the mornings at times. Here come HICKIES to save the day!
Hate tying your kids' shoes everyday before they step out of the house? Hate stopping to tie your own shoes mid-run? HICKIES products turn any pair of sneakers into convenient, comfortable, and stylish slip-on…
