  1. I'm Hispanic
    Born n Raised in Texas. My grandparents were born in the US but lived in Mexico until they were teenagers.
  2. I got married at 19 and still LOVE MY HUSBAND
    We got married after only dating 6 months :p
  3. My house is NOT CLEAN
  4. I live about 15 minutes from the US/MEXICO border
    And feel perfectly safe!
  5. I blog for fun
    But love getting things for FREE
  6. I am 5'2, but I think I've shrunk by 1"
    And I'm fat too
  7. I'm CHEAP! I hate buying clothes over $5
    And usually use a coupon with it as well!

  9. My ex-boy friend turned GAY after me
    And probably still and always have a place in my heart for him,
    even though he may hate me :p
  10. We (hubs & I) don't drink, smoke or have tattoos

    I'm in about 4 books, write for a local magazine and websites

    But don't ask if I finish them

    1. Yup... we did talk on the phone and racked up a $2k phone bill (my dad wasn't happy) after about 4 months before we met!! It's a great love story I think!

Hickies: Back-to-School Series #1

Every Friday in the month of September I will share a few tips for making the transition for both kids and parents a bit easier. This first one is a doozie! HICKIES! Keep reading to learn what I'm talking about.... I try to buy my girls (i have 3 school-aged daughters) two or more pairs of shoes; an active shoe, which usually has laces, and a more casual/formal shoe, which usually doesn't have laces. Which ones do they choose to wear nearly every day to school? The ones that have shoe laces! Of course my oldes daughter, who's now 13, can tie her own shoes, but the other two still need help.
