Summer Blog Challenge - Day 16 - Fitness?

SBC: I've joined in the Summer Blog Challenge, hosted by Going Green with the Grizls, to blog every day from June 1st - August 31st! Crazy right? There are over 50 blogs participating and we all have different reasons on why we are doing this challenge. Really a way to interact with YOU! So feel free to join in the Challenge if you are a blogger or add your two cents if you love my blog!

Day 16: Fitness guru or couch potato? Talk about your fitness habits.

Oh boy... this is a good one. Given the two choices at my current "state" (pregnancy), I'd have to say COUCH POTATO! lol

But even then, with gestational diabetes, I do go walking about 2-3 times a week and when I go shopping, I make it a point to walk around the store first and then start shopping. But as far as being a fitness guru, even when I'm not pregnant, I'm not that.

The only habit I have is that I eat a salad at least once a week and that has been true since I was in high school. Salad to me is kinda like a treat for my body, I see it as helping me stay healthy. And since high school, I had to pay out of my own pocket like an extra $2 to have a salad, you know what I mean. If it costs more then I'd probably enjoy it more.... mind over matter type a thing, I guess. And even now, if you go to just a fast food place, the salads may cost more than just a regular burger.

I don't have a fitness routine, I don't do cardio or lift weights, I just cook, clean, play with my girls and occassionally shake my booty with the Wii games, like Just Dance and Zumba! And that sure does break a sweat, so....

  1. I'd have to say that I'm a couch potato too right now! Sadly! :p But I'm determined to start working out again... eventually... ;) :p

Ungrateful during Thanksgiving?

Hubby made me cry on Thanksgiving.... The usual share what you're thankful for, he just went all out talking about how we had one of the toughest years and we were apart from each other for six months and how much he missed us and it just sucked. Ohhhh, the waterfalls!! But yeah, it was the longest year ever. Speaking of Thanksgiving.... HAPPY THANKSGIVING! Reminds me of something that's been on my mind....

We just moved out of the valley and guess what?! The worst part moving to a new place was not the moving. Before we moved I scoped out our neighborhood, grocery stores, parks and I joined several mom groups. I knew negative Nancy’s were bound to share their troubles in Facebook groups but I’ve never heard so many complaints in one day.

I don’t know what it is but I don’t like when people complain. I just think to myself, “Did you really have to share that?” or about an easy solution to that complaint. There would have been a better way to spend your time than writing a n…
