**********23 weeks**********

At 23 weeks Moyashi is about as large as a mango and... from BabyCenter.com
Turn on the radio and sway to the music. With her sense of movement well developed by now, your baby can feel you dance. And now that she's more than 11 inches long and weighs just over a pound (about as much as a large mango), you may be able to see her squirm underneath your clothes. Blood vessels in her lungs are developing to prepare for breathing, and the sounds that your baby's increasingly keen ears pick up are preparing her for entry into the outside world. Loud noises that become familiar now — such as your dog barking or the roar of the vacuum cleaner — probably won't faze her when she hears them outside the womb.
Oh yeah, I've been playing music, some of my favorites are songs by Vasquez Sounds and other soft rock and R&B. I usually listen to music in the morning hours as I blog or get ready for the day... and she usually moves around when she hears it, it's so cool.

This past week:

Vlog *coming soon*
You can see Week 22 Vlog HERE

MY PREGGY BODY

Total weight gain: 6 lbs (+1 from week 20 to week 23) - 191 lbs

Maternity clothes? Haven't bought anything new. I bought a few more maternity shirts but have still been wearing regular shirts to. The shirt above is just a XL shirt that I got from Cato (a "Women's" store a few months ago).

Stretch marks? My sister has been begging me for a bare belly shot. Being overweight (obese) I said I would share all... if I find some alone time this week, maybe I will. But I am glad that my bump is visible, had a few strangers ask my due date!

Skin & Hair:
Ahhh, my itchyness is gone. I've been taking relaxing showers, even sitting in the tub a few times. Also been using conditioner, so that may be helping. No pimples! Yeah! The only blemish that did pop up was NOT on my face. It was right smack down between my boobies! :D It was only there for like a day or two.
Belly button in or out? In and puffy still, really puffy.

Can you see your toes? Yes, but if I stand straight up and look down, NO!

MY PREGGO BELLY

Gender: **IT'S A GIRL**

Best moment this week: Hmm... I'm not sure. Oh, I know! Bought Moyashi her first official Newborn outfit (shared it on Youtube)! I love it and it was FREE! Still thinking of a theme (and a name), but nothing set yet.

Food cravings:
Hotdog with mustard (which I hate mustard) and spicy foods! I'm so glad I'm not cravy carby foods cus I got GD, so that's good.

Anything making you queasy or sick:
Sweets! I know! Still the same, it's just something about them, leaves me an after taste, YUCK!

Labor signs:
Still getting occasional tightening, braxton hicks if ya wanna call them that. Only had like two in the past three weeks, so they calmed down this month.

Symptoms:
Lower back pains, hungry and peeing a whole lot... that pretty much sums it up!

FEELINGS

Happy or moody most of the time: Happy! Hubs says I've been more happy in this pregnancy than in my other two. Don't know if that's good or bad. **UPDATE** Hubs and I have been cat fighting lately, not bad, but just like "silent treatment," and that's kinda odd for us.

Looking forward to: Shopping! Went to my grandmothers house to give her some of my stockpile this week and she said I popped out and I was glowing! Awww, so she said she wanted to go shopping with me this weekend to pick some things out for the baby. I was waiting till another two weeks so I can use my HEB $10 catalinas but I could go shopping this week. Also, my "step" father-in-law (long story) is coming to visit as well, so I think he may bring gifts of plenty or cash.

What made me cry this week: Well, hubs yelled at me and told me to stop couponing!! *tear* I didn't cry, but I did shed a tear. It was only because I misscalculated by a dollar or two as well as not included tax. He thinks I spent too much ($11.34 and got back $10). He's over it now, after I got him his Pepsi and Digiorno Pizza!

Medical Stuff: My insurance changed, so haven't seen a doctor yet. But don't miss the waiting... waiting for a call back from the new doctor. Sugars have been good/bad when I check it.

Thoughts from the family: Hubs and I have been name hunting like crazy, just can't get it right. There is one or two that sticks out, but not a definite. The girls kiss my belly good night and that's pretty much it.

Miss anything? No other news for now...

  2. Moyashi is our nickname for the baby... we still can't come up with a name for the baby. I will probably be having a naming contest on my youtube channel sometime soon.

Hickies: Back-to-School Series #1

Every Friday in the month of September I will share a few tips for making the transition for both kids and parents a bit easier. This first one is a doozie! HICKIES! Keep reading to learn what I'm talking about.... I try to buy my girls (i have 3 school-aged daughters) two or more pairs of shoes; an active shoe, which usually has laces, and a more casual/formal shoe, which usually doesn't have laces. Which ones do they choose to wear nearly every day to school? The ones that have shoe laces! Of course my oldes daughter, who's now 13, can tie her own shoes, but the other two still need help. And let's be real, even the oldest one I find myself nagging her to tie her laces correctly, she gets sloppy in the mornings at times. Here come HICKIES to save the day!

Hate tying your kids' shoes everyday before they step out of the house? Hate stopping to tie your own shoes mid-run? HICKIES products turn any pair of sneakers into convenient, comfortable, and stylish slip-on…
