Green Tip Tuesday - Resin?

Wooohooo! I'm back. I was taking a break from blogging (a bit) but now things should get back to normal, with the exception that in two days my oldest will be out of school for the summer! I am so excited because I want to do so many things. But with them home sometimes getting snacks and lunch together can get and most of us out there turn to plastics!

And yeah, sometimes it's hard to stay away from plastic. We're still guilty of buying bottled water, which I hate cus it's a complete waste of money! Ugh. Anywho....

I thought I would just share with ya'll thise Plastic Resin Code that EcoCrazy Mom shared last month because it's very informative and something that anyone who uses plastic (EVERYONE) should read and get familiar with.

So this is great to print out or just learn which ones are safe: #1, 2, 4 & 5 and which ones are not so safe: #3,6 & 7!

So that is todays Green Tip and head on over to EcoCrazy Mom's post to read more about what the plastics are made out of!

  1. What a great tip about plastic containers! Thanks for sharing. :)

  2. I never thought of that before. Very informative! We reuse our plastic bags for garbage bags, dog clean up bags and u have had to resort to them as piping bags for my baking lol. Now I know about what's safe and not. Maybe ill have to post something about how to reuse your plastic when cooking!

Ungrateful during Thanksgiving?

Hubby made me cry on Thanksgiving.... The usual share what you're thankful for, he just went all out talking about how we had one of the toughest years and we were apart from each other for six months and how much he missed us and it just sucked. Ohhhh, the waterfalls!! But yeah, it was the longest year ever. Speaking of Thanksgiving.... HAPPY THANKSGIVING! Reminds me of something that's been on my mind....

We just moved out of the valley and guess what?! The worst part moving to a new place was not the moving. Before we moved I scoped out our neighborhood, grocery stores, parks and I joined several mom groups. I knew negative Nancy’s were bound to share their troubles in Facebook groups but I’ve never heard so many complaints in one day.

I don’t know what it is but I don’t like when people complain. I just think to myself, “Did you really have to share that?” or about an easy solution to that complaint. There would have been a better way to spend your time than writing a n…
