Getting to Know You

Welcome to the Getting to Know You Weekend Blog Hop hosted by:  Christina from Spilled Milkshake, & Lisa from insignificant at best.

The idea behind the Getting to Know You Blog Hop, is just that...getting to know you.  So link up and let’s have fun learning more about each other! :)

Rules:
1. Follow your 2 hosts:
2. Here’s the fun part…you can link to anything you want to below.  It can be your facebook page, because you need more “likes”, a giveaway that you are running and would like to tell us about, a post that you’ve written that you’d love to share with us, etc.  The only rule is that each blog can only link to one thing per week!  Other than that, be creative with what you’d like to show all of us!

3. Visit other blogs & leave MEANINGFUL comments.  Please do not just go to other blogs & simply ask them to follow you.  Also, please be sure to follow the blogs that you visit!

4.  It’s not a must, but we’d love for you to grab our button, so others will find out about and link up to the blog hop!

5. Have fun getting to know one another! :)

The linky will be open until Sunday evening, so enjoy!
If you have any questions please feel free to contact one of the blog hop hosts!

  1. I'm Jill. I'm from Philly. I started blogging because I have a lot of spare time and I have stories to tell and I wanna be famous. My blog is my 15 minutes. That's all

  2. I'm from southern Illinois. Lived here my entire life. It's a small, rural town, but I love it.

I got started blogging because I got sick. Not being able to get off the couch or out of bed, I didn't have many people to talk to, so I started blogging. Since then, I've met tons of awesome bloggers and become addicted :)

  3. First of all welcome "newbie"! :) Christina and I are so glad that you decided to join us!

To answer your questions I'm from a city about 20 minutes North of Detroit.

I originally started blogging in 2009 at the encouragement of a friend, but I wasn't really into it. I was in a huge state of depression and you can tell from my lackluster posts. Then last year in April, something just clicked and I realized how therapeutic blogging can be. Now I'm completely addicted and loving every minute of it! :)

  6. Hi, Im not a Mom but I am a Dad and a Clown that teaches kids about safety. I used to do clowning balloons/magic but started having seizures about 2 years ago and had to stop doing it or scare the kids. So decided to start teaching child safety to the parents.

I started a blog about child safety and teamed up with D.U.C.K.S. and the local schools here in SLC Utah to continue teaching our children. I am glad to be part of this very new to blogging so sorry if I mess up a bit. Hope to get to know a few of you and hear from you soon! :)

If there is anything else you would like to know let me know.

My new blog is not listed in my profile as I started a self hosted if you would like to know it let me know.

Hickies: Back-to-School Series #1

Every Friday in the month of September I will share a few tips for making the transition for both kids and parents a bit easier. This first one is a doozie! HICKIES! Keep reading to learn what I'm talking about.... I try to buy my girls (i have 3 school-aged daughters) two or more pairs of shoes; an active shoe, which usually has laces, and a more casual/formal shoe, which usually doesn't have laces. Which ones do they choose to wear nearly every day to school? The ones that have shoe laces! Of course my oldes daughter, who's now 13, can tie her own shoes, but the other two still need help. And let's be real, even the oldest one I find myself nagging her to tie her laces correctly, she gets sloppy in the mornings at times. Here come HICKIES to save the day!

Hate tying your kids' shoes everyday before they step out of the house? Hate stopping to tie your own shoes mid-run? HICKIES products turn any pair of sneakers into convenient, comfortable, and stylish slip-on…
