Menu Plan Monday - Daddy Friendly

Another week closer to Halloween!! I'm so excited, but dreading because I haven't gotten our costumes started yet! AHHHH! So I'm sitting hear looking at the ads and matching coupons n what not and got some great deals & sales! So be sure to take a look at your sale to see what you can stock up on!

And this week is all about food daddy can make. He will actually be making two meals this week! I love him, haha. So here it is...

MONDAY: White Chicken Chili
If you have leftover grilled chicken, jsut tell daddy to throw it in a pot with canned beans, corn and diced tomatoes... add a little spice and let simmer for about 45 minutes and your DONE!

TUESDAY: Daddy's Tacos
Secret ingredient - Italian dressing (Daddy hasn't shared his recipe with me)

WEDNESDAY: Leftovers

THURSDAY: Fish n Chips
This is super fun for a responsible child to help with... slicing potatoes with a cheese slicer and then frying them and adding a dash of salt n pepper for great flavor!
Then just fry some fresh fish or just throw some fish sticks in the oven & steam some broccoli to add some color

FRIDAY: Hamburger Stew
Family favorite!! Brown meat, throw in some garlic and comino seeds. Then dice some potatoes let that boil for a bit and then add diced tomatoes, canned corn and canned green beans, let simmer for about an hour and TA-DA!!

Hickies: Back-to-School Series #1

Every Friday in the month of September I will share a few tips for making the transition for both kids and parents a bit easier. This first one is a doozie! HICKIES! Keep reading to learn what I'm talking about.... I try to buy my girls (i have 3 school-aged daughters) two or more pairs of shoes; an active shoe, which usually has laces, and a more casual/formal shoe, which usually doesn't have laces. Which ones do they choose to wear nearly every day to school? The ones that have shoe laces! Of course my oldes daughter, who's now 13, can tie her own shoes, but the other two still need help. And let's be real, even the oldest one I find myself nagging her to tie her laces correctly, she gets sloppy in the mornings at times. Here come HICKIES to save the day!

Hate tying your kids' shoes everyday before they step out of the house? Hate stopping to tie your own shoes mid-run? HICKIES products turn any pair of sneakers into convenient, comfortable, and stylish slip-on…
