My grandpa recycles them about twice a month. He's an avid newspaper reader... but what most people don't know is that most recycle banks can't or won't recycle the "shiny" coupon paper. So I help out and take out the coupons & ads for him!
But coupon paper is great for mail packages! I keep a bin full of the extra clippings from my coupon inserts and store ads and right before the holidays I go and make "silly string" out of them. I just roll them or fold them up and cut them in slices or sometimes with a hole punch. But not just great for the holidays... in all most all my packages I use them as fillers and for extra protection as well.
So think about this next time you read your paper & call to ask if you can recycle the coupon inserts and ads.
