Toddler Talk Thursday - NO FLY LIST

Welcome to Week 38 of Toddler Talk Thursday! Where Family and Life in Las Vegas, Crazy about my Baybah, and My Life as a Sippy Cup Mom talk all things TODDLER!!
** If you want to follow this on twitter – or plan on tweeting your post – please use hashtag: #letstalktoddler **

Toddler Talk Thursday was created as a place for moms and dads of toddlers to come together over a weekly topic and share ideas, go-to toys, or products. It is a great way to meet other bloggers of toddlers. Each week the topic will be different; we invite you to link up, share your weekly Toddler Talk!!
Each week the hosts will travel around to each blog to see what topic your suggest for the following week. If we choose your topic – you will be our featured blog.
Keep the GREAT suggestions coming. We have an on-going list we will choose from each week. Some topics are ones we have done in the past – but that doesn’t mean we won’t revisit them!!

In order to qualify for this you need to blog about this week’s topic, and follow the hosts.

And the end of your post – suggest a topic for next week.
Comments letting us know you are participating are always great too. If we choose your blog, we will link back to your post the following week.

This week’s Feature Host is
This Week’s Topic: What do you pack for a day out with your toddler?
Me personally, I love to take a drive, especially a long one. We have yet to travel by plane with the whole family, God help us when we do. We DRIVE! Usually it's just within Texas but when we do go out of state the amount of stuff we take with us may be a bit more than others during trips.
Some things that are a must are:
  1. WIPES
  2. SIPPY CUP
  3. BLANKET
  4. BOOKS
  5. SNACKS
If we have this, we're golden. A few times we have fogotten Eli's sippy cup... and oh boy. She says "Baaaa" when she wants her sippy cup and she asked for her "Baaaa" over and over and over and over again!

We also can't forget her favorite toy for that time period. It's always changing. And we try to stay away from "Giggly" or "Annoying" toys, lol. Recently Eli's God-father bought her a dinasour looking toy and it laughs.... that is definitely on the "NO FLY LIST"!

When Mommy packs I always add two extra of everything, especially socks, because just like at home, they disappear when we go on vacation too! Mommy is sure to pack some magazines or a good book to keep her distracted during the drive.

So with Summer approaching I hope ya'll are ready for sleepless nights and sore bottoms as we drive across __(fill in the blank)__!

Suggestion for next week: SPEAK! The battle of the (Langu)Ages!

  1. SAP's fav toys are forever changing too....I'm guilty of the annoying toys being put on the top shelf of her closet so she forgets about them lol. Sometimes I regift if it's one that is really really bad, as good peoples intentions are, I need some sanity! She has enough noisy toys as it is!

Come see what's in our Toddler Day Bag! Check out our Toddler Talk Thursday at http://sapsmama.com!

Ungrateful during Thanksgiving?

Hubby made me cry on Thanksgiving.... The usual share what you're thankful for, he just went all out talking about how we had one of the toughest years and we were apart from each other for six months and how much he missed us and it just sucked. Ohhhh, the waterfalls!! But yeah, it was the longest year ever. Speaking of Thanksgiving.... HAPPY THANKSGIVING! Reminds me of something that's been on my mind....

We just moved out of the valley and guess what?! The worst part moving to a new place was not the moving. Before we moved I scoped out our neighborhood, grocery stores, parks and I joined several mom groups. I knew negative Nancy’s were bound to share their troubles in Facebook groups but I’ve never heard so many complaints in one day.

I don’t know what it is but I don’t like when people complain. I just think to myself, “Did you really have to share that?” or about an easy solution to that complaint. There would have been a better way to spend your time than writing a n…
