CTWW - Take a Deep Breath!

Change The World Wednesday is hosted by Reduce Footprints, an awesome blog that I came across through the Green Blog Hop and jumped right into the challenge. I plan to participate every week and hope to inspire and spread the word so that others can participate as well. If you participate, just leave a comment on the current challenge and you will get featured on the following weeks challenge. You can learn all about it HERE!

So have you been takinig a peak at the Daily Challenges? Here's a recap:

We are currently participating in daily challenges and have completed our fourth week (they began on Wednesday, March 9th, and will continue through April 24th). You'll find additional information by clicking HERE (information is located towards the bottom of the article).

This week I thought I'd switch things around a bit ... don't want any of us getting bored. So ... let's take a look at the week's activities:

  1. Day 22 asked us to defrost our freezer and do a little refrigerator maintenance.
  2. Day 23 challenged us to get rid of chemicals from our homes.
  3. Day 24 concerned fireplaces and using them efficiently.
  4. Day 25 asked us to contact our elected officials regarding climate change.
  5. Day 26 suggested that we go for a walk.
  6. Day 27 challenged us to buy local food.
  7. Day 28 asked us to clean or replace our air filters.
For your information... I've been posting the daily challenges on my Facebook Fan Page if anyone would like to go into discussion or what not! :D I've been a little behind...

And you just have to go and stop by Reduce Footprints blog, it is just so awesome to see how many people are joining in and caring for the environment! The other day when I was taking a walk (Day 26) a lady asked me about my Sugar Sweet Baby wrap and I told her that it's not just more soothing for the baby, but I don't have to haul an ugly, big stroller around everywhere! Everyone gets to breath more fresh air in.

Oh and I just love living in Texas because a lot of the produce I buy is local! I remember seeing that special on Nightline, I think, about the US being visited by people from overseas coming to shop and buy "US" brands, when they're made in countries from around the world! So funny, no?

Have a truly "Green" lawn and garden by avoiding use of toxic chemicals. Visit the National Coalition for Pesticide-Free Lawns ( website for more information.

See you tomorrow everyone!
