Toddler Talk Thursday - A Letter To You

Welcome to week 26 of Toddler Talk Thursday! Where Family and Life in Las Vegas, Crazy about my Baybah, and My Life as a Sippy Cup Mom Talk all things Toddler!
Toddler Talk Thursday was created as a place for moms and dads of toddlers to come together over a weekly topic and share ideas, go-to toys, or products. It is a great way to meet other bloggers of toddlers. Each week the topic will be different; we invite you to link up, share your weekly Toddler Talk!!
Each week the hosts will travel around to each blog that links up, and pick an idea, story, or picture they think was a great example of that weeks topic. In order to qualify for this you need to blog about this week’s topic, and follow the hosts. Comments letting us know you are participating are always great too. If we choose your blog, we will link back to your post the following week.
Our highlighted blog this week is:

Kelli Belli Jelli – who can resist that mad face!! Too cute.

This week’s topic is :
Write a Letter to your Toddler as they are Today.

Dear Eliada,
Today was just like every other day. First things first, I love you with all my corazon! Second, you have the worst sleeping schedule! Mommy wakes up around 10am to get things done and you wake up around noon. You automatically drag mommy to the kitchen so that I can make you breakfast. But I always drag you back to our room to change your diaper! We try to wake up daddy, but he sleeps until it's time to pick up your big sister! We read, play and watch mickey mouse and donald duck as we eat breakfast. Mommy works a little bit and we get you dressed for the day. There are days when you run out of your room half naked, fun times!

Then we're off to pick up you big sister! Sometimes we go into the library to read some books. You love our routine but get all cranky when it gets interrupted. Like sometimes mommy has to go to work or we have to go grocery shopping.

Eating is one of your favorite things. If mommy doesn't have your sippy cup and a snack you do your "BA... BA" thing over and over! It's so annoying! lol Your favorite foods are tortillas and rice! You definitely your father's daughter.

By evening we're back home and your big sister takes a bath while I dress you into your PJ's and then we read a story.... this is where it gets tricky. Usually mommy goes to bed and daddy stays up until you get sleepy.... sometimes that's not until 4 in the morning! How crazy!

When you get older you will hear all about what you use to do during these wee hours! Next month you will turn 2!! The year went by so fast and you are getting smarter and smarter...

Lot of Luv,
~Your Mommy

Next weeks Topic is:
Let’s get ready for spring!!
Your favorite outdoor activity!

Hickies: Back-to-School Series #1

Every Friday in the month of September I will share a few tips for making the transition for both kids and parents a bit easier. This first one is a doozie! HICKIES! Keep reading to learn what I'm talking about.... I try to buy my girls (i have 3 school-aged daughters) two or more pairs of shoes; an active shoe, which usually has laces, and a more casual/formal shoe, which usually doesn't have laces. Which ones do they choose to wear nearly every day to school? The ones that have shoe laces! Of course my oldes daughter, who's now 13, can tie her own shoes, but the other two still need help. And let's be real, even the oldest one I find myself nagging her to tie her laces correctly, she gets sloppy in the mornings at times. Here come HICKIES to save the day!

Hate tying your kids' shoes everyday before they step out of the house? Hate stopping to tie your own shoes mid-run? HICKIES products turn any pair of sneakers into convenient, comfortable, and stylish slip-on…
