Green Tip Tuesday

Ahhhh, I've been under the weather for the past few days AND the weather is going to get worse! So we're stuck indoors for the next 24-48 hours! Just a little update on my front....

As for todays Green Tip, Herbal Meds! I don't know why, but I've never been a big fan of perscription medication. Even when I was preggo, instead of taking the pre-natal vitamins I would ask my doc what herbs or veggies I could take to come close to the same nutritional value. None, he said, so I took them! :p For now, I have an upset stomach, so I've been drinking nice warm chamomile tea. Chamomile Tea is used medicinally for stomach aches a mild sleep aid and more. I would drink some ginger tea too, but we don't have any.

And for those of you who were here for one of my sponsor was HELPS Tea and I am in love with it. I love that their ingredients are listed right on the box. I've been drinking the one that helps me relax! I'm so stressed right now because the house is a mess! I tried cleaning a little today but every time I bent down my head went spinning! Ohhhh, slow down Nelly!

What herbs have you used before?

  1. Hi! I'm a new follower. I found your blog through the blog hop.

Ohh fenugreek, I haven't tried that... maybe with our next pregnancy.

  5. Herbal teas are my love! They seem to have a tea to accomplish anything or fulfill any need. My kids are even drinking them.
Stopping by from the Green Mama Blog Hop. Hope you will check out my blog as well.

  6. my midwives gave me Diclectin she said it was pretty much just a B6 vitamin or something i'm not sure it was a while ago.

Hickies: Back-to-School Series #1

Every Friday in the month of September I will share a few tips for making the transition for both kids and parents a bit easier. This first one is a doozie! HICKIES! Keep reading to learn what I'm talking about.... I try to buy my girls (i have 3 school-aged daughters) two or more pairs of shoes; an active shoe, which usually has laces, and a more casual/formal shoe, which usually doesn't have laces. Which ones do they choose to wear nearly every day to school? The ones that have shoe laces! Of course my oldes daughter, who's now 13, can tie her own shoes, but the other two still need help. And let's be real, even the oldest one I find myself nagging her to tie her laces correctly, she gets sloppy in the mornings at times. Here come HICKIES to save the day!

Hate tying your kids' shoes everyday before they step out of the house? Hate stopping to tie your own shoes mid-run? HICKIES products turn any pair of sneakers into convenient, comfortable, and stylish slip-on…
