When you think of Cloth Diapers what brand comes to your head? For most families it's the brand that they first tried out or the brand that they always reach for when changing their little one. For me it's Thirsties! I think I actually heard about them from Calley (The Eco Chic) or another blog that I use to read at that time. I so wanted their diapers but couldn't afford them, then I found that Thirsties had an outlet store! BINGO! I still order from there every now and then. I also ordered some wraps as a gift for a baby shower, which reminds me, I have to check up on her to see how she likes them.
It's also a great idea to purchase them from DiapersEtc.com. Why? FLUFF BUCKS! It's a brand new rewards program that was launched with their new site and until tomorrow you get 10% off sitewide (excluding bumGenius, Flip and GroVia). With Fluff Bucks, you get 1 buck for every dollar that you spend. The best thing about Fluff Bucks is tht they never expire!!
So back to Thirsties Duo Wrap. With the release of so many new brands and prints last year Thirsties also released prints to fit everyone. Check them out....
Again, Thirsties is just one of the brands that made me "Love Fluff!" The Duo Wraps come in two sizes. Size One and Size two, so you only need to buy two sizes for your little one and then they will be ready for potty training! I'm somewhat sad to say that Eli is already potty training.
The Duo Wraps are completely waterproof yet are breathable and you can adjust to fit your little one perfectly. The Leg gussets are amazing and have always held everything in. Even when using a simple prefold with the wrap everything will be securely sealed!
Washing the covers is always easy. I usually just wipe down or rinse the cover and wash it maybe once a week if need be. The Aplix and laundry tabs work wonderfly. I have never had any trouble with the aplix. My oldest cover still looks like new, for the exception of some tint around the leg gussets for when she had a tummy virus. Thirsties is also very trim and great to use over their fitted diapers. I always use one for night time as well. The original Thirsties Diaper Cover is known for it's roomier fit as well and also great for night time. My favorite part is the front elastic (as you can see in the video) because it keeps the wetness in. I've had other diapers who move and aren't as fit in her tummy area and end up getting her clothes wet.
Here's a short video of me putting the "Alice Birghts" Thirsties Duo Wrap on my 22 month old....
