A Time to Give - Pets need love too

Welcome back to A Time to Give, my weekly feature where we share ways to give, ways to share, ways to be generous. If this is your first time stopping by, welcome! You can read the original A Time to Give post HERE. In a nutshell, I started this feature as a way for us to inspire each other to be even more generous. I tend to get wrapped up in finding great deals, and I don't want to lose sight of one of the reasons we live frugally... to be able to give more. Each week I'll share a giving idea of mine, and you share a giving idea of yours.
This week has been a busy week for me and latley every week has been busy. Besides my family missing me, there is someone else who holds a special place in my heart. My beautiful dog Dezi! We've had her for almost four years now! She's a beagle and both my girls love her to death. Hubby, not so much. Nah, he does to. He just doesn't like to wake up early to take her out. For the past two weeks I've been waking up sup…

Coromega Squeeze Review & Giveaway **COUPON**

Last year I was invited to attend the HEB Healthy Baby & Child Expo and I was so excited to go. I wondered how many people would show up and if there would be samples or demos of products that I could try out to see what is coming up for the following year. My baby was around six months old so I was on the look out for products that would help both her and the family. I also have a five year old who is in preschool. My main concern for her is health. She briings so many things home from school, including bugs and viruses. Yuck!

I went and came. Wow! Let me tell you I talked all night to hubby about all the awesome things I saw and learned. I came home with two and a half bags of samples and information! One of the top products I tried and learned about was Coromega! I talked to the father and son team who was demoing the product and they love it. When I arrived at their booth they offered me and a few other people to try a packet of their Coromega Squeeze. I tried and I thought wha…

Recipe: Spanish Rice & Enchilada Sauce

Growing up it wasn't a meal if there wasn't rice or beans! Living in south Texas knowing how to cook spanish rice is a must and can sometimes be a deal breaker in relationships. When most Hispanics meet your significant other for the first time they make a "date" for when they will have the next BBQ and the "girlfriend" will make the rice and/or beans and they will see if she knows how to make them. It's not that hard if you know how to make it. But you need to remember, when you are cooking a bigger batch you need to stir it in between the simmering time so that it gets evenly cooked. My grandma would sometimes make extra big batches and just scrap off the top layer because it wouldn't cook right! That was her little secret. But everyone knew she did it. It came out perfect every time.

It took me about three years after leaving home to get it right. My hubby had already married me, lol. So he had to go through three years with crunchy rice! lol. H…

Q&A: Work From Home?

Hello and welcome to another edition of Mommy Q & A. I got lots of questions sent to me last time I did this segment and I just could not get them all done. I did pick out a few and have scheduled them and I will let you know when I publish them on my blog. I welcome any other questions and I will let you know if your question has been selected to be featured on my blog. Don't be shy! If your question is mommy related; from potty training to going back to work, or how to save money to how to spend it wisely, you can send it my way. All answers will be answered from my personal experience or thoughts as well as from a professionals point of views. I have many contacts that will give you their ideas.

So, this weeks question comes from a Mamapedia mom, Amy G. She asks:
"Work From HomeHello Mommies - I am looking for a new job and would really like to find a good "work from home" opprotunity. I have a 2 year old son, and could still send him to daycare or he could sta…
