Green Tip Tuesday - New Year Changes

New Year means new beginning to lots of people, lots of families! I really don't like to see it that way. I just look at it as a time to not just start over, but a time for reflection on what has been done and what hasn't been done!

We have some awesome tips this week, a few from April a blogger that decided to share some tips as an entry to the Gatorade Fuel Pack Giveaway!

First things first.... What did you do this past year that you are proud of?

Second... what did you do this past year that you aren't particularly proud of?

Meditate on that a bit as you look toward this new year.....

Looking to clean up or organize? Get to your attick and search for those old baskets. I love to use baskets to organize. Get some shoe boxes and wrap them in fabric to match your decor. They can make wonderful craft room storage or kitchen sink towl holders. We recently cleaned out my daughters room to make room for all those new Christmas presents. We used her shoes boxes, and her sisters (smaller boxes) to organize her school supplies and some hair accessories.

How about that annual diet that you go on every year?! lol Well, try kicking the "gas" bucket! Meaning.... try riding your bike to get that gallon of milk that you need eat cookies with. A few times a year, usually during summer, we'd all take a bike ride to grandmothers house. That was such a great way to make some lasting memories! Another way to shed those pounds a "green" way would be to sneak some mini-workouts throughout the day. When sitting on the coach, do leg lifts, or when you are doing laundry you can do some squats and while doing dishes, I do that one a lot.

One more tip for you! Again about keeping neat and clean... do some "Green" cleaning. Vinegar, baking soda and old fashion water! You can use vinegar instead of softener in your laundry and you can also use it for sanitizing kitchen counters or the bathroom. With baking soda is awesome for just sprinkling into your trash can and keep those nasty odors away or for keeping that silver nice and shiny! Olive oil is also great for keeping your furniture polished!

Thanks for tuning in for this weeks edition of Green Tip Tuesday.... it's the last edition for the holidays, this one included New Years! I hope ya'll had a great holiday and cheers to a Green New Year! As always, your Green Tips are always welcomed!
