Foods to Eat Organic

Today when we were making dinner I opened the fridge and bit into a nice juicy strawberry and handed one to my Eli also. She loves her strawberries. But I wouldn't think of giving her pesticide drenched strawberries from a mass market store. Yes, they may have better deals, but I wouldn't buy $.10 strawberries, would you? Well, if you says yes, watch this video from Dr. Weil and you may change your mind. We have been waiting for Whole Foods to open up in our area but we only have a small grocery store, Sun Harvest farms, and that's about 25 minutes away, 30 with traffic, but we make the trip at least once a week.

When we do go to our local grocery store, it is more convenient, we have our handy dandy "Dirty Dozen" guide so that we know which fruit to NOT buy at our local stores. Soo.... I just wanted to share that with ya'll cus I know you may not know much about which ones are good or bad or not have an organic, pesticide-free, grocery store near you as well.

CLICK HERE to get your Dirty Dozen handy dandy pocket list. Here is the list of foods recommended to eat organic:
  1. Peaches
  2. Apples
  3. Bell Peppers
  4. Celery
  5. Nectarines
  6. Strawberries
  7. Cherries
  8. Kale
  9. Lettuce
  10. Grapes (Imported)
  11. Carrots
  12. Pears
I also have the video I was speaking of, here it is:

Hickies: Back-to-School Series #1

Every Friday in the month of September I will share a few tips for making the transition for both kids and parents a bit easier. This first one is a doozie! HICKIES! Keep reading to learn what I'm talking about.... I try to buy my girls (i have 3 school-aged daughters) two or more pairs of shoes; an active shoe, which usually has laces, and a more casual/formal shoe, which usually doesn't have laces. Which ones do they choose to wear nearly every day to school? The ones that have shoe laces! Of course my oldes daughter, who's now 13, can tie her own shoes, but the other two still need help. And let's be real, even the oldest one I find myself nagging her to tie her laces correctly, she gets sloppy in the mornings at times. Here come HICKIES to save the day!

Hate tying your kids' shoes everyday before they step out of the house? Hate stopping to tie your own shoes mid-run? HICKIES products turn any pair of sneakers into convenient, comfortable, and stylish slip-on…
