Easter Week... Always a eye opening and reality check time for myself. From a religious point of view I feel very grateful and honored that Jesus would die on the cross for us. Us, people who take pride in filling their garbage can to top very top, people who over use toilet paper, people who ignore their children. I know we're not perfect, but we should be a bit more considerate, not just during the 40 days of lent, but all the time. I just think to myself that one day we will no longer be on this planet, but under it!
Easter also bring along the joys of life, family memories and great food! My daddy also said, God rest his soul, that the best part of any get together was THE FOOD! If there was food involved it was etched in his brain.
From a mommy point of view, "Dear God, HELP ME!" I start out the Monday before cleaning out the dining room table, which would be filled with empty egg shells. On Tuesday, by the time Vetty gets home, I have the house a bit more festive. And by mid-week I have a box full of all the Easter Basket paraphernalia and start putting them together. But I love the end result.
I also like to get out a bit more when the weather is nice and hang some laundry outside while the girls play in the backyard with the dog. I might also plant some poppy seeds to add a bit of color to the landscaping.
Easter is a great time over all!
