The View - Must See Episode

Tomorrow on Nadya Suleman

Nadya Suleman will be on the show! Do you remember her? She is the mom who gave birth to octuplets last year. She's going to be making her first trip to NYC to chat with the Women of the View! How exciting. I have so many questions for her, as does everyone else. I wonder what she has been up to and if she'll bring the babies with her. The babies were born in January of 2009 and are over a year now. Can you imagine eight rugrats running all over the place? I was talking to a co-worker who said she can barley keep up with her baby who just turned two! This past weekend we took my little cousin who is 4 years old with use to a birthday party and I think I did pretty good watching over her along with my 5 year old and my 11 month old.

Speaking of having babies.... are you "trying to have a baby?" Well, you are in luck because Thursday will be all about "trying to have a baby." Nadya used IVF, but how far are you willing to go to have a child. When we were ready to have our second child it took us over a year. Why? I was over weight. As soon as I lost the weight we conceived. After losing 20 lbs (it took me about 8 months) I conceived about two weeks later. I believe heath and nutrition play a huge role in helping a couple conceive a baby. I myself would never turn to any other alternative to try to have a baby. If I found out I was unable to have more children I would adopt. A close relative of mine got pregnant and did not tell anyone until it was too late. She gave the baby up for adoption. Both my husband and I would have gladly raised the baby for her until she was ready, if she would ever be ready to raise him on her own. All we know is that it was a boy and a couple from Austin adopted him. I am glad that he was adopted by a family.

So this is a great week for moms to watch The View. Even if you don't have children, but are thinking about having children I would encourage you to watch! If you have any comments after you watch the show, come and share!

“I am a participant in a Mom Central campaign for ABC Daytime and will receive a tote bag or other The View branded items to facilitate my review.”

Hickies: Back-to-School Series #1

Every Friday in the month of September I will share a few tips for making the transition for both kids and parents a bit easier. This first one is a doozie! HICKIES! Keep reading to learn what I'm talking about.... I try to buy my girls (i have 3 school-aged daughters) two or more pairs of shoes; an active shoe, which usually has laces, and a more casual/formal shoe, which usually doesn't have laces. Which ones do they choose to wear nearly every day to school? The ones that have shoe laces! Of course my oldes daughter, who's now 13, can tie her own shoes, but the other two still need help. And let's be real, even the oldest one I find myself nagging her to tie her laces correctly, she gets sloppy in the mornings at times. Here come HICKIES to save the day!

Hate tying your kids' shoes everyday before they step out of the house? Hate stopping to tie your own shoes mid-run? HICKIES products turn any pair of sneakers into convenient, comfortable, and stylish slip-on…
