28 DAY Organizing challenge - The Garage

When I think of organizing.... I think.... OMG!

But thanks to OrgJunkie.com I have gotten pretty good at organizing. When you're a mommy most of the time organizing is a must. Although not everything in my home is organized, like my dining room table, which is my office for now, I can get around and find things very easily. Even though there are days when you can't find those cute little heart socks that you love so much, I can find those other purple ones that I was looking for the day before and think to myself, these will work, won't they. Being a mommy is the hardest and best job in the world!

Orgjunkie.com is having a 28 day organizing challenge, and boy do I love a challenge. When I read that she was going to be hosting one, I sat infront of my laptop and I looked over at hubby and asked what he thought about it and what space/room we should organize, yes, I said "WE"! We both thought "The Garage" at the same time. We moved into my parents house after my daddy past away and although we moved from a two bedroom apartment (Dorm Room) into a three bedroom house, we still had lots of crap that didn't fit into the house. We still have most of our bathroom filled with "Ebay" stuff.

We agreed, that we had to get this garage cleaned and organized. So here is our first picture and I did a quick video to show your our MESS!!!

Here is a short video of our garage! Please be nice!

Hickies: Back-to-School Series #1

Every Friday in the month of September I will share a few tips for making the transition for both kids and parents a bit easier. This first one is a doozie! HICKIES! Keep reading to learn what I'm talking about.... I try to buy my girls (i have 3 school-aged daughters) two or more pairs of shoes; an active shoe, which usually has laces, and a more casual/formal shoe, which usually doesn't have laces. Which ones do they choose to wear nearly every day to school? The ones that have shoe laces! Of course my oldes daughter, who's now 13, can tie her own shoes, but the other two still need help. And let's be real, even the oldest one I find myself nagging her to tie her laces correctly, she gets sloppy in the mornings at times. Here come HICKIES to save the day!

Hate tying your kids' shoes everyday before they step out of the house? Hate stopping to tie your own shoes mid-run? HICKIES products turn any pair of sneakers into convenient, comfortable, and stylish slip-on…
