Welcome back to A Time to Give, my weekly feature where we share ways to give, ways to share, ways to be generous. If this is your first time stopping by, welcome! You can read the original A Time to Give post HERE. In a nutshell, I started this feature as a way for us to inspire each other to be even more generous. I tend to get wrapped up in finding great deals, and I don't want to lose sight of one of the reasons we live frugally... to be able to give more. Each week I'll share a giving idea of mine, and you share a giving idea of yours. This week has been a busy week for me and latley every week has been busy. Besides my family missing me, there is someone else who holds a special place in my heart. My beautiful dog Dezi! We've had her for almost four years now! She's a beagle and both my girls love her to death. Hubby, not so much. Nah, he does to. He just doesn't like to wake up early to take her out. For the past two weeks I've been waking up super early to go to work or job interviews. I've been taking her out and fillilng her water bowl before I leave. I haven't been around to take her for walks though and I feel so bad about it. Today we went walking for about two hours, she sniffed and ran everywhere! I feel safe in my neighborhood, the only thing I don't like are the other doggies. Their owners don't take care of them.
So, this week I'd like you to take the time to give your doggie a little more special attention. Take them to the dog park or go on a hike with them. This Saturday we're going to go to our local nature center (they allow dogs) and go on a bird watch trail. Dezi should have lots of fun. They let the dogs run in a certain area, but we need to keep her on a leash everywhere else, which is fine because she doesn't mind. She likes to be close to us.
Or if you know someone who has a dog and they don't have much time to take them on their daily walks or they go out of town, make time to let them know that you are more than happy to give their pets the love and attention that they deserve!
