Wednesday Wisdom

Hello and welcome to my weekly post of Wednesday Wisdom...

Today in society it seems like there is a disconnection between each of us. For me blogging and reading others blogs keeps me in close relation with others like me. But when I go out into the world that I know I do not feel apart of that world. And even more so when I turn on the news or watch a television show. I see all this hate and people doing things that are soooo wrong. Even or leaders. I found this quote...
"Leaders are leaders only as long as they have the respect and loyalty of their followers." - Hans Selye -
This is true, but what about when the people themselves try to outsmart the system? We are each losing respect for one another. How do we or help others gain the respects of others? I try to always let the car in front of me, who seems in a hurry, go first, or open the door for the elderly lady and pick up things from the grocery store that I see are in the way of others. I have respect, there fore common scene, in my opinion. But I have my faults. Just yesterday, when I went to take my mom to work, the traffic was unusually heavy. There was a traffic line about 1/2 a mile long to get into the school area. We did not see any cop lights to signal that there was a accident, but after I dropped off my mom I saw why the traffic was going so slow. There was one car, just one car that was making cars merge into one lane at the student drop-off area. He was having car trouble and has his hood open and he was coming in and out from under his car.... NO ONE WAS HELPING HIM! Maybe he had already called for help, but someone, anyone, could have helped him move his car to the side. But no one did. I so wanted to go over to him and help him and I am sorry that I didn't.

Back to the quote... our leaders. I do not feel like our leaders are leading us into the right direction. I heard a snippet of the news yesterday when I heard a woman, senator I think, say that they really need to sit down and debate their next move and seconds later I heard that the President was going to speak on the new "War Plan." So where did he get this plan from? And who did he talk to about it? When others are saying they need to talk about it, he's already got everything in order. Is this leading? I think not. It's confusing.

Today and everyday I pray for our nation and especially our nations people and leaders to respect each other!
