Wednesday Wisdom

Hello Ladies....
I have gotten a few emails say that they would love to join in on my Wednesday Wisdom... how cool is that. So the rules are pretty simple. Wednesday Wisdom for me is just a time to let go and think back on what I've learned from others, myself or any challenges that I believe will make me a better person today. It can be anything from why you lost your temper or how you will never look at "something" the same way again or how the simplest things remind you how luck you are. Blog about it and then come share your link. You may grab this picture for your post and make sure you provide a link back so that others can participate.
I have grown to love Wednesday Wisdom because I look forward to sharing the story that has made me "grow."
THANK YOU!

This week... I have learned to love my neighbor. I was watching the news on the weekend, which is rare for me because we don't have T.V. I watched it online. Anywho, there was a story about a house fire. Then I saw a young girl, around 12 who was crying hysterically, it was hard for her to catch her breath. She then told the reporter that she was growing up with the boy. Apparently it was an accidental fire and a mother and son were inside the home and died. It astonished me when the young girl said she was growing up with the boy. Usually people say I grew up with him and they think about their friend years later. But she and the boy were still young and she won't have the chance to finish growing up with him.
Now, I'm not really a people person, but I do say hello to my neighbors every now and then because I did grow up with them. Although only two houses are the same owners, which is really weird to me, everyone else around us has moved out. I've always wanted to go and ask them how are they doing, but never do. I would cry and be sad if anything ever happened to them.
My sympathies go out to the family who has lost both a mother and a son!

If you'd like to share what you've learned this week please prove your link via MckLinky.

Hickies: Back-to-School Series #1

Every Friday in the month of September I will share a few tips for making the transition for both kids and parents a bit easier. This first one is a doozie! HICKIES! Keep reading to learn what I'm talking about.... I try to buy my girls (i have 3 school-aged daughters) two or more pairs of shoes; an active shoe, which usually has laces, and a more casual/formal shoe, which usually doesn't have laces. Which ones do they choose to wear nearly every day to school? The ones that have shoe laces! Of course my oldes daughter, who's now 13, can tie her own shoes, but the other two still need help. And let's be real, even the oldest one I find myself nagging her to tie her laces correctly, she gets sloppy in the mornings at times. Here come HICKIES to save the day!

Hate tying your kids' shoes everyday before they step out of the house? Hate stopping to tie your own shoes mid-run? HICKIES products turn any pair of sneakers into convenient, comfortable, and stylish slip-on…
