Thinking of selling my crafts...

Not sure if I can post here or where to post it... LMK

Hi there mama's,

I wanted some input. I'm thinking of selling my crafts. Right now I made my baby's baby legs, toys and some other things from recycable materials (old tees and fabric scraps) and I also make totes from crocheted or fused plastic (recycled plastic bags). How many of ya'll would be interested and how much would you expect to pay? Here are some pics of some stuff I've done.

I was thinking of having pre-made stuff for sale and then if you want a custom bag and would like to join in the recycling process, you send me your bags (Red if you want a red bag), a tote would use about 40 bags, and no price difference (just shipping to me). Same with the teecycled dresses, You can send me whatever fabric you want. I also make toy banks from formula cans and fabric toys.

What do you think of the concept? No enviromental impact business! Maybe just tape for shipping.

Please send me some feedback! Oh also... suggestions on a name?

I will probably be running the store from my blog, does anyone know if there is anything I'd have to do when I file taxes and what not? Or do you know of any system or how I can keep track of orders or how to get a shopping cart into blogger and what not?? I would appreciate any suggestions or links,

ps... if you have any plstic bags you want to get rid of, LET ME KNOW!

  1. I'm going to be selling my crafts on Etsy, had the shopping cart and everything there - I'll just put a link to my shop on my blog. You might want to check out my post from yesterday, it has a resource from UH that might help with your tax questions

Hickies: Back-to-School Series #1

Every Friday in the month of September I will share a few tips for making the transition for both kids and parents a bit easier. This first one is a doozie! HICKIES! Keep reading to learn what I'm talking about.... I try to buy my girls (i have 3 school-aged daughters) two or more pairs of shoes; an active shoe, which usually has laces, and a more casual/formal shoe, which usually doesn't have laces. Which ones do they choose to wear nearly every day to school? The ones that have shoe laces! Of course my oldes daughter, who's now 13, can tie her own shoes, but the other two still need help. And let's be real, even the oldest one I find myself nagging her to tie her laces correctly, she gets sloppy in the mornings at times. Here come HICKIES to save the day!

Hate tying your kids' shoes everyday before they step out of the house? Hate stopping to tie your own shoes mid-run? HICKIES products turn any pair of sneakers into convenient, comfortable, and stylish slip-on…
