Monday Must-Sees

It's that time of the week when I like to give ya'll links to awesome giveaways, contests, freebies and more. Oh, I'm also looking for a new name for this day as well as a new pic or button for "Monday Must-Sees." So here are the links and a snip-it from the current giveaways. If you have a giveaway that you'd like me to share with my readers just let me know!

  1. The Cloth Diaper Report, Kam Snas! Ends 10/14

Whether you want to make diapers in bulk, a few for fun or make baby accessories like pacifier clips, poly resin snaps are a must have. I have used snap pliers before, about a year ago, and found that although they did the job the snap press was easier to use and created a more stable snap. I really wanted to give the KAM snap pliers a shot, however, and found that they did a better job than the pliers I had tried before. These also come with an awl which I hadn't tried before and it makes it SO much easier. There is a little learning curve with snap pliers, however, but I'd say if you practice about a dozen studs and a dozen sockets on some scrap fabric you will get the hang of it in no time.

Note: Snaps are the most secure between at least 2 layers of PUL or thinner fabric. Cloth diapers, for example will work best if you use scraps of the fabric after cutting out your pattern as an extra layer in the inner/back side of the fabric. For more details and instructions visit KAM snaps.
Win it!
A TCDR reader will be able to make their own creations with a pair of snap pliers compliments of KAM snaps!
This giveaway will end on October 14, 2009 at midnight CST and is open to the U.S. The winner will be drawn via and will have 48 hours to respond or another winner will be drawn.

4. Jabbering Jessi Miche Bag! Ends Oct 9th

The Miche bag was created by a woman named Michelle Romero in 2004 when she spilled on her favorite bag ruining it. She like many other women I know hate moving stuff from one purse to another so generally just stick with one bag until we ruin the one we are using. Now with the Miche bag we don't have to worry about having the same purse all the time or the transfer of stuff from one purse to another.
You can change the look of this purse by simple changing the Chelle (outer covering). You start out by purchasing either a brown or a black bag, depending on your color preference, these cost 34.99, then you can add on longer straps if you want for $8.95 or chain handles for 15.95. Now here is where the fun part comes in, you get to pick your shells and the possibilities are endless. Below are pictured some of my favorite ones.

I love how spacious the inside of the Miche bag is with a large zipper pocket on on side and two elastic pockets on the other it is perfect for my wallet, cell phone, keys and i could throw a diaper in here if i needed to which as a mom is sometimes necessary.

Win It:
Miche wants to give one of my readers a Miche bag and 2 shells (Vivian and Stacy light brown).

To Enter all you have to do is go to Miche and tell me which shell is your favorite. This must be done for any of your bonus entries to count, comments such as pick me or i want to win will be removed.

This giveaway will end on October 9th at 11:59 PM EST

5. Diry Diaper Laundry: EC Wear ECA Pants Review and Giveaway

If you are an ECing parent, these aren’t a must have, but they do make your life so much easier! Sometimes I find myself being lazy about EC (especially for a few weeks where we took a “break” with life being so hectic) and when I think about having to take off pants, undo diaper, potty, then chase the baby while I try to put a diaper and pants back on, I get exhausted by the thought. Having an easy way to EC can certainly keep me focused on my son and his needs, even when the day is jam packed.

About EC Wear:

EC Wear LLC, based in New York City, is owned and operated by Marija, a work-at-home-mom (WAHM). Marija and her husband Chuck have been practicing Elimiination Communication with their son since his birth. Initially, their interest came out of concern for the environment and dislike of disposable diapers. Eventually, they realized the best benefit of EC was for their son’s health. At EC Wear you will find clothes in sizes newborn to 24 months that are made in USA, Canada, Europe, or Australia, fair trade, or made by women in their homes or in workers’ cooperatives. It is our priority to disclose the origins of every item we sell. Of course, nearly all of the clothing is suitable for any parents who are looking for convenience in clothing and diaper changes, whether practicing EC or not.

For the first entry, visit and browse the items, then come back and leave a comment telling me what else you like that she sells. In this comment please leave your email in blank at hotmail dot com format. This entry is mandatory!

Ends October 15th

7. My Wee View, Munchie Mug

The fabric is that it is really soft and will not scratch your childs hands as they retreive the snacks and you can turn the mug upside down and the food stays inside. The Munchie Mug is ideal for travel, it allows you to take snacks on the road, keep them fresh but still allows for easy access without the worry of all the mess. Any parent knows that part of their daily routine is cleaning up the mess; Munchie Mug eliminates the need to vacuum up those little bits of crackers from the floor every single day. According to the website, recommended age is 10 months.

Rather than use lots of little baggies, the Munchie Mug is the perfect snack container for the enviro-friendly family. It is made from 100% percent recycled materials, it is BPA and phthalate free and the inks used exceed FDA food standards.

Last but not least, if you have more than one little person who has a Munchie Mug, there is a small writable band on the lower portion of the special lid where names may be placed with a permanent marking pen. How very clever. The munchie Mug goes in the top rack of the dishwasher (another bonus) and is really easy to dry the fabric, just squish between a dish cloth and or air dry.

Buy it: To purchase, visit Munchie Mug online

Giveaway: Munchie Mug would like to offer a lucky My Wee View reader a Munchie Mug of their choice

To Enter: Visit Munchie Mug online and make a comment back here about something you saw on their website

Giveaway closes October 16th @ 11:59 pm PST. Open to US and Canada
