Wednesday Wisdom ~ Wipes~

Why in the world do they make packages so hard to open? Especially baby and kid items. I mean, we have a hard life already, don't we?

When we can or have to, we buy bulk from our local Sam's Club....

****thought bubble; But wait a minute, don't we pay over $30 to have that darn membership? and we've only gone like three times this year to buy toilet paper, soap, shampoo, wipes and a box of diapers? We probably paid like $200 for all that, plus the $35 membership fee that we pay every year... we might as well have just bought it at Wal-Mart, right? And at Wal-mart we could have used coupons, so we probably would have save $35!****
Okay, so yesterday we bought a box of wipes and this morning I had to open it. I see that they double taped the box and then when we opened the box the wipes didn't have that little sticker flap on it. I had to find a way to open the darn box, hubby was asleep, and then I had to find a way to open the wipes package. Probably took me over 20 minutes to find the keys, open the box, then go and find the scissors to open the pack and then put them in the wipes box and finish changing my baby, who by the way was laying there looking at me and her with a bare tooshie! It was just a funny morning!

So, this morning I find myself standing there, breathing and pulling myself together to try to not write pampers a nasty letter. I will just let them know I do not like the new packaging. It said on the cover "You've changed, so we've changed." Or something like that.

From now on I will leave a pair of scissors in the knife drawer as well as a knife near a pair of scissors!

Hickies: Back-to-School Series #1

Every Friday in the month of September I will share a few tips for making the transition for both kids and parents a bit easier. This first one is a doozie! HICKIES! Keep reading to learn what I'm talking about.... I try to buy my girls (i have 3 school-aged daughters) two or more pairs of shoes; an active shoe, which usually has laces, and a more casual/formal shoe, which usually doesn't have laces. Which ones do they choose to wear nearly every day to school? The ones that have shoe laces! Of course my oldes daughter, who's now 13, can tie her own shoes, but the other two still need help. And let's be real, even the oldest one I find myself nagging her to tie her laces correctly, she gets sloppy in the mornings at times. Here come HICKIES to save the day!

Hate tying your kids' shoes everyday before they step out of the house? Hate stopping to tie your own shoes mid-run? HICKIES products turn any pair of sneakers into convenient, comfortable, and stylish slip-on…
